Carlie Pearce (b.1989) is a Canadian painter born in Hamilton and currently based in Stratford, Ontario, with a BA in Sociology from McMaster University. Working as a full-time artist for nearly a decade, her practice of spontaneous realism combines bold colour, intuitive mark-making, and touches of realism to capture not only likeness but also the soul and energy of her subjects. Her work has been featured in media including a recent CTV segment following the viral success of one of her paintings. Pearce embraces individuality and truth as guiding principles, using art as both a vessel for living and a way of connecting with others.
