Mora Linesa
I wanted to experiment with my lines by having a little fun. I think I was successful in learning more about how I want my paintings to flow and move their aundiences. It was also strangely liberating to reference the most famous painting in history.

Commission
I JUST finished this commission piece of the commissioner's daughter and father. It was nice to go back to my roots and do some more realistic images. BUT I did enjoy how there are a few stripes in there to tie my current work to my past work :) #commission #painting #grandfather #granddaughter #stripes #carliepearce #art #portrait #family #acrylic #gessoboard

Late Night Drawing
Well, after setting up the exhibit yesterday, I thought I would just relax and do some small drawings while sitting in bed tonight. Who wouldv'e thought that a 15 minute drawing would hold its own against a 5 foot tall painting that took me around 60 hours. But I wouldn't have got to this little drawing if I didn't put in the 60 hours for the bigger painting. Anyway, I like this a lot. Be prepared to see more like it!

Solo Exhibit
Today I set up my first solo exhibit at Gallery 4 Annex in Hamilton (with the help of my sidekick, John). It took about 2 hours to get everything where it was supposed to be. I'm really happy with how it turned out. I finally feel like things are coming together! What's also exciting, is that there is a JUNOfest concert taking place on Friday March 13th, where Juno nominees and others will be performing on the same floor/room as my exhibit. How amazing is that? Approximately
